Guide to EUR Transfers from Aspire USD Account

 

What payment methods are used for EUR transfers?

EUR payments are sent locally using SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) or SEPA Instant Credit Transfer (SCT Inst). For EUR payments sent to other countries, SWIFT is used.

 

What types of beneficiaries can I transfer EUR to?

You can send EUR payments to individual and business accounts.

 

Is there a limit on the amount I can send?

  • SEPA - GBP 2M equivalent 

  • SWIFT - GBP 2M equivalent

 

Which countries can I make SEPA transfers to?

You can send EUR transfers via SEPA to the countries listed here.

 

How long does it take for the funds to reach the beneficiary?

SEPA transfers are settled typically within one business day, while SWIFT transfers typically take 3-5 business days to process.

 

What will the sender’s name be reflected as?

For EUR transfers sent through SEPA or SWIFT, the ultimate sender’s (i.e. Aspire client) name will be reflected as the sender name.

 

Important notes for EUR transfers

For SEPA transfers

  • Non-ASCII characters will be converted to their ASCII equivalents or removed, to the best of our ability, in order to comply with the limitations of the domestic payment system.

  • Not every bank in Europe is on the SEPA payment scheme. Please check whether your beneficiary’s bank is on the SEPA payment scheme before initiating a EUR transfer via SEPA

For SWIFT transfers

  • Any characters not supported will be converted to EBCDIC equivalent or removed to comply with SWIFT payment network restrictions. The SWIFT network permits the use of letters, numbers, spaces, and the following symbols: / – ? : ( ) . , ‘ +.
