You can receive GIRO payments with your SGD Local Account details.
Take note: Aspire currently does not support sending GIRO payments from your account.
Receiving GIRO Payments
You can use your Local SGD Account 12-digit account number to receive GIRO payments. For more information on the 12-digit account number, please click here.
To receive GIRO payments:
- Go to the SGD Account page > See Local details.
- Provide these details to the sending party.
- If the sending party is remitting from a Non-FAST/GIRO account in Singapore, they will need to refer to the account name stated in MEPS/Local TT: Aspire FT Pte. Ltd. on behalf of Your Account Name.
- Typically, GIRO payments take up to four business days to process. If you require our help to ensure the smooth transfer of incoming funds, please feel free to reach out to us with the supporting payment proof or receipt.
Please note we are also unable to make GIRO salary payments to employees where the *payment code* is reflected as "SAL" for higher interest rate to be received by the employee in their respective bank accounts.
If you perform a FAST transfer from your Aspire virtual account reflecting "SAL" or "SALARY" in the description, this will appear in the description to the recipient, but is unfortunately not recognized by receiving banks as a "SAL" payment code. If your employee requires this "SAL" payment code in order to get a higher interest on their personal accounts, please arrange for a transfer from a separate bank business account.
See our article How to receive money in my SGD Account for other ways to receive funds into your SGD Account.
Sending GIRO Payments
Unfortunately, we do not yet support sending GIRO payments. We are currently upgrading our infrastructure to send GIRO payments, and we would like your feedback here so that we can further prioritize this feature.
