# How to create a budget?

## Admin users can create budgets in the Aspire Account.

Create budgets for projects, clients or teams, and set spending limits and controls to prevent overspending.

To create a **budget** in your Aspire Account, follow the steps and video below:

1. Login to your Aspire account
2. Click on "**Budgets**", under the "Spend" section on the left-hand side 
3. Click on the blue "**? new budget**" on the top right-hand side 
4. Enter the particulars of your budget. Budget name, purpose and add a budget icon, if you wish
5. Click "**Continue**"
6. Add the **spend limit**
7. Set the **frequency**, will this be a **one-time** budget or **recurring**? *(recurring can be monthly or quarterly)*
8. Set the **expiry date** (*optional*) and set the **source of funds** for this budget. (SGD, USD or Advance Limit)
9. Click "**Continue**"
10. Assign [**Budget Owners**](https://support.aspireapp.com/faq/what-is-a-budget-owner)**.** Click "**Continue"** then **"View budget" **
