Can I receive payments from the Government of Singapore via Paynow?

You can receive payments from the Singaporean Government, provided that they use one of our supported payments method.

If you are expecting payment coming from the Government of Singapore, you can share with them the exact same payment instructions as you would with receiving any other transfers. You can find more information on receiving payments to your SGD Account in this page.

In the payment instructions for your account, you can receive funds to your SGD Account in one of two ways:

FAST transfers
Local Telegraphic Transfers/MEPS/GIRO

Note: At the moment, IRAS is unable to process PayNow transfers to VPA's issued by Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NFBIs). However, we are actively working with IRAS to find a solution, and they are in discussions with MAS regarding our proposals to support payouts to VPA's across any NBFI's.

In the meantime, we suggest providing IRAS with an alternative account for PayNow payouts.
